Who will be the next US president?

  • John McCain

    Votes: 8 7.8%
  • Barack Obama

    Votes: 80 77.7%
  • Other

    Votes: 15 14.6%

  • Total voters
    103
McCain is not a man to underestimate especially when he is down.

Notice that today's CNN Poll Of Polls is showing Obama opening up a 49-44 advantage over McCain--there's hope...

these polls just piss off all those people who maybe weren't going to vote into actually going to vote in order to prevent a black muslim from becoming president. if just before the election they say obama has a good lead, some people will vote for other choices because they may believe obama doesn't need their votes and that they can afford to help out other parties instead of voting democrat to keep the republicans out. of course, not alot of people think this way but when things are tight, every little bit makes a big deal.

Well you all know the McCain story, when he is down he comes back...

Here is a most interesting video from the Ralph Nader campaign. I had the honor of meeting Mr. Nader yesterday after his rally here in Pittsburgh on September 24th.

Its pretty clear Obama has no plans to reduce US military presence, in fact he wants to increase it. He is going to recenter the war in Afghanistan and increase troop levels and create a more aggressive recruitment effort toward American youth.

You think the US would elect someone "soft" on defense? Democrats always overcompensate....

The electoral college system renders your vote useless (unfortunately).

The funny thing is, you find the spokespersons and cheerleaders for talk radio and Fox News and that kind of stuff speaking on behalf of their fare as "entertainment". Well, here in Palin, you have electoral politics as "entertainment". It ain't about drawing votes through policy, through experience, through gravitas--it's about drawing votes through "entertaining" the voter...

Brandon,

Why would anyone support Nader after what happened the last time he ran? If you are really to the left, I would think that keeping the Republicans out of office would be job 1. Or do you actually believe that people should practice democracy and vote according to their conscience?
