TTC: Streetcar Network

So this is what Google Maps (and presumably the March TTC data set) thinks the 504C replacement bus is doing.

I sure hope this is a data error!

Using the alley south of King, between Spadina and John is particularly impressive! Hopefully not both ways at the same time!

You clearly underestimate TTC drivers!

You didn't know why they ended up in that situation, maybe they missed a turn, maybe the road was blocked due to an accident.
According to Google it's a deadend leading to that ramp. It's hard to tell the clearances from the photo. If there are sufficient clearances for a vehicle that size then it's on the driver. If GRT routed the bus down there, it's mostly on them. 'Let's see if it fits' is seldom a good plan. If you have to back out, you back out (with coverage of course).

Maybe if the operator took it more widely they would have made it.

It's basically a fancy bus guided by GPS.

According to the video, its autonomous vehicle that is guided by painted lines on the road and feels more like a train than a bus when riding it. Controlled accelerations, rubber wheels, stabilizers make it feel more like a train
