The 505 Dundas should be terminated, in the event of future 504 Flexties, as far east to Church, then south to King, then east on King, then south on Sumach to Distillery Loop.

Why? It picks up huge amounts of people at all the stops from River to Sherbourne on Dundas. It can be pretty empty at Broadview, and packed by Sherbourne.

How would you serve Dundas East?

Indeed. Massive empty lots or holes in ground right now. With more demolition planned along Gerrard.

The odd 514 has been running all the way up to Broadview or Dundas West occasionally, to fill a big gap. Though previously when they've done this, they've stayed as 514. But by changing their identity to a 504, it allows them to show up on the Next Vehicle displays on the street, and on apps. Perhaps they are getting smart!

Given there is a CLRV on 510 today (4003) and 3 of the 9 514 runs are currently CRLV, then there are only 26 Flexities running currently. (13 on 510, 7 on 509, and 6 on 514) - so unlikely they'd have planned to let one loose on 504 otherwise.

They're supposed to walk 650m to the Corktown subway station... that was the point of bringing the line north, so people in Regent Park could use it.

The proposed Sumach station with the main entrance where the Cat and Dog Hospital is at the SW corner of King and Sumach? That's a 900 metre walk from the corner of River and Oak. Not very useful if you are heading to the Yonge subway.

Given how many people board the streetcar along this stretch, even with redevelopment only half complete, it's not conceivable that they'd remove streetcar service from this piece of Dundas. Nor is it proposed.

There is a tender out for 34 low floor 30m cars for Czech Republic with a closing date of April 28. The first car is to be delivery in 2018 with the rest of the order starting in 2019, with the city setting the final delivery date in 2022 since the city wants to spread the cost out longer. So far, none of the bidders have an issues with this.

I have stated in the past, TTC could see the first car within 2 years for the extra ones, and this reinforce my time frame.

That's completely unrelated though. The TTC would have to use completely separate production lines because of trade agreements - everything they buy from Europe would be taxed at 6-9 percent.
