Or put in a "Disney World"-like monorail from Vaughan Metropolitan Centre Station to Canada's Wonderland and the Cortellucci Hospital. Run under contract for York Region.Alternatively, we can extend one of the roller coasters by a few kilometers.
This would be awesome if Eglinton were an actual subway.Ok, here's what I feel a longer-term expansion of Toronto's subway network could (maybe???) look like. Half of this stuff has either already been announced or is currently under construction, but I've added a western and northern extension to Line 3, an extension of Line 6 to the currently under construction Woodbine GO station, and an extension of Line 4 past Line 2 out to UofT Scarborough. I mostly made this map as a graphic design exercise (AHHHHHHH I think I might have some PTSD from trying to get all this stuff to fit and line up), but I also wanted to be as realistic as possible with respect to what might actually happen in the future. Thoughts and opinions would be much appreciated!View attachment 681332
Great map, you should also show the GO "RER" lines more prominently - Lakeshore (West/East), Kitchener, Barrie, Stouffville. Helps fill some of the gaps in this map!Ok, here's what I feel a longer-term expansion of Toronto's subway network could (maybe???) look like. I really like your historical bus/interurban maps! Have you made a map combining all of Toronto's interurban lines at their peak? (I know you've tackled the TSR and the TMR).I finished recording the audio for my next video; this one about Hollinger Bus Lines which operated bus service in East York from 1921 - 1954. I made a map of the services they ran as of 1952.

Here's a geographic map if you need help visualizing this:

I'm waiting until the Toronto map drops officially to pick up the game, personally.Slightly OT: Been messing around with Subway Builder over the last few days. Only US cities at the moment as it pulls census data for residents/workers, but i'm hoping they're able to generate some international maps soon. Someone on twitter generated a Toronto map but I don't know if it's functioning yet.
Anyway, I was playing around with unprofitable heavy rail in Indianapolis. Easy way to kill a ton of time.
Im addicted to this game. New york is a blast. Either building it all from scratch or downloading a savegame with the real network recreatedSlightly OT: Been messing around with Subway Builder over the last few days. Most of the demand on Jane is north of Eglinton, so it has a lot less overlap with the Kitchener Line. Part of why the Bus Lanes are only going in north of Eglinton. Makes me think they should maybe run some busses on jane to weston and encourage a lot of transfering to the kitchener/up line there and at mt dennis. I bet any future LRT would probably also start at eglinton at least initially if they can include a kitchener line connectionView attachment 692605
I feel like the Jane LRT doesn't make much sense with frequent Kitchener Line and Barrie Line service. It will be so much faster to go east-west on local transit (or the LRT lines) and then connect to rail services to quickly move north-south.
