The best way to check for bad rental buildings (if you know an address, or at least the street) is the City of Toronto's ML&S Investigation Activity. It's pretty much the Dine Safe of building standards. usually inspectors come back and the file is closed, but multiple infractions over two years is not a good sign (just a few, regarding noise or waste, is okay, as are "MRAB surveys" but more than five (especially PRS records) in the last two years may not a good sign. GRA = graffiti - that's just the result on Ford's crackdown.
