This time our original Chinese theme will be expanded to include other Asian communities that celebrate the Lunar New Year, such as: Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Burma, Laos and also Chinese-speaking communities from Philippines, Indonesia, India, Singapore, Malaysia and others.

Let us celebrate together. Let "Toronto Celebrates" Lunar New Year!

Oriental Fusion 2003 - More than a Fashion Show

This year, the Festival is proud to present a major new production - Oriental Fusion 2003 . This is a unique and exciting presentation, combining traditional eastern fashions and avant garde style, with cultural, sport, and musical performances. Oriental Fusion 2003 will feature some of the most talented "rising star" fashion designers from the Asian community.
Get ready for a "hot pot" serving of Kung Fu & Break Dance, Kimono & Cheung Sam, and Korean "Red Devils" & Yazukas!

Asian Food Court

This is the most popular destination for visitors at the Festival. Every year, our enticing Asian delights keep tens of thousands of visitors coming back for more.
This year, the Festival has assembled a group of the best Pan-Asian food vendors. People will line up for many goodies such as Bubble Tea, Tung Tung's Egg Rolls, Vietnamese Pho, Japanese Sushi, Dragon Beard Candy, Thai Spicy Satays, Malaysian Curry, Shanghai Dumplings and many more mouth-watering delicacies. Additionally, many food and beverage vendors will offer up thousands of free samples!

Be sure to arrive at the Festival hungry!

Chinese Flower Market

Seasonal flowers and exotic plants will be flown in from different parts of the world to create a traditional Chinese Flower Market. Visitors will be able to browse through a sea of bright colours such as pink peach blossoms, green lucky bamboos, yellow narcissus and red peonies. Also showcased are many varieties of orchids and bonsai plants.
"When a flower blooms, it will bring wealth!" This is perfect for the beginning of the Lunar New Year!

This lame joke made me laugh the other day when I was watching TV.

Sometimes people forget when the year changes. In fact the other day I was in Chinatown and a guy wrote me a check with the wrong year in the date... it still had "horse" written in it.
