Toronto's best steak?

They serve excellent horse at "La Palette" on Augusta in Kensington Market.

I absolutely loved Lindy's back in the day. I used to work at Maple Leaf Gardens and we'd often go there late at night. There was this one waiter, Peter, who was fabulous. He'd see me coming in the door and put my order in. I refused to be served by anyone else. It wasn't the best but you couldn't beat the atmosphere! :)

I can't believe nobody's mentioned Barberian's, on Elm Street just west of Yonge. Local business, old-school Canadiana on the walls, a board in the window with all the autographs of people like Sinatra, Liberace, the Apollo 11 astronauts, Milton Berle, Jerry Lewis who all ate there.

It's cozy, classy, priced about the same as the big American chains like Morton's or Ruth's Chris and for my money the best steak in town.

Been there since 1959 and still run by the Barberian family.

Yes, Barberian's is great too. I recently had House of Chan's steak which is also very impressive... massively thick cut filet... looked like 2 inches. Stay away from Le Biftheque... it's garbage.

Senator/Ruth Chris's/Habour.... they are all good. Just don't go to Outback. I like my stake bloody as hell, and when I ask it for that and they give me cardboard, I ain't going back.

I rarely eat steak, but I had one at "La Palette" on Augusta a couple of weeks ago and it was excellent. I'm sure if you asked for it served bloody they'd do it that way.
And if you're so hungry you could eat a horse...well in this restaurant you can eat that too!
