Daytime working population of 500,000. That is quite the figure. I wonder what the transit impact would be...

I think they mean downtown with that number. it mentions 83 million annual transit trips as well, which is more than the ridership of the TTC. (probably added the suburban bus systems as well as GO to make that number) it states in the PDF that there will be 18,000 people working here.

"The TTC’s proposed operating budget for 2011 is $1.4 billion (up $66 million from 2010) and forecasts an all-time record high of 483 million rides".
 
I see this as a visioning study for the future. The hotel component will rise if the casino is granted (0 probability). I would bet in my opinion the main towers will not rise within 10 years.

I don't doubt that at all. The logic here may be that if all the regulatory approval is out of the way, Oxford can be first out of the gate by the time the next boom comes around - probably within the next 50 years.

was on the fence... was a NIMBY kinda guy.... but with the green space +1, retail +2 and jobs +3 .... + an awsome video to boot, I'm 4 it.
