I would like it a lot more if the back end cladding was in more tuned with the Robarts Library proper. It should least make the attempt to compliment said building and not contrast it instead, IMO.

So much this. I am hard pressed to think of another contemporary public building by a major architecture firm that is this poorly detailed.
