I'm surprised they didn't promote the project, law school and university through graphics on the construction hoarding.

This is wonderful! The concave curve of this building should look Sweet. Can't wait for the redesign of my undergrad school's grounds, too.

Would be nice if the quality of design and materials used in general high-rise residential construction were more like an average institutional project around U of T.

Drove by the building yesterday and I saw a mason putting up the stone façade. It was being done stone-by-stone old school style rather then using pre-fabricated units. Looks great. I find stone installed in pre-fabricated units just looks fake.

Snapped a few whilst walking past today. Tough to know precisely what stage they're at, but I'm somewhat surprised given the renderings that they've left the concrete unfinished (or that it's concrete at all). From many perspectives, at least at this stage, the structure is distinctly modernist and actually doesn't stand out particularly (at least from the east view represented below) from many of the other modernist structures on the campus in the area. I'm interested to see how this comes along as they finish the exterior.

Ohh, super interesting—hadn't seen those and, as such (and because in today's light it really didn't look that way), I hadn't actually appreciated the material was stone and not concrete.
