It's a very noisy street, I know, I lived there and sold the place after 10 months (9th floor facing Bay Street). Living so close to the traffic will see buyers remorse due to traffic noise, watch the listings hit MLS in the first year after people move in. As I opined a long time ago, it should have been retail/restaurants facing Bay and the towns on St. Mary St. An unfortunate design mistake here I think.

Yep, agreed. Townhouses on the north side would have been far smarter. Surprised they didn't go for that...

I wonder how many buyers purchased those street level spaces with live/work in mind? I am not sure what the regulations of the condo say but I expect there will be retail and cafés facing Bay shortly after the building opens.

These concrete buckets make me think:

1)A fire pit in them to warm your worksite up.

2)Buy a used one, paint it bright pink and install in your new concrete loft. #hot

re: "Get moving." We should all know by now the podium--esp here with all these expensive townhomes--takes way longer due to irregular floorplates. 4-6 months at this stage perhaps?

The same large crew is there everyday, except for about 10 days around Christmas through New Years. How about a timeline now that they are at ground level for most of it.

Sad to see all those trees along that path taken out; If the developer had wanted to create a scheme that wasn't about profit maximization at the expense of green-space/foliage and path connections on the campus, they could have kept them.

That aside, what a great time-lapse of images. Very cool documentation

looks like we only lost 4 trees. they seem to have taken some effort to keep the ones along the street at least.

I'm really glad the church's attempt to stop this site's development was not successful. Not only is the increased density on Bay appreciated, but in my opinion, the church being surrounded by large towers makes it stand out so much more. Hopefully, they'll take the opportunity to add some night lights and remove the surrounding parking lot.

What attempt are you talking about? The church sold the land to Pemberton so that they could spend their windfall fixing up their buildings.

I don't believe it was the church per se, but rather many of its congregants that resisted the development. There were a few heated meetings on the issue.
