Wait, there are only 8 libraries in all of Brampton?! I know the Springdale one is particularly nice (and there might be other standouts) but that's still two-horse town thinking.

Yeah. The libraries are well used in Brampton. Though the smallest branch is larger than the smaller TPL branches, the library system is really spread thin across the city, and there’s no good central reference library, though the Centre for Innovation downtown is supposed to provide that.
Compared to Mississauga, it’s ridiculous.

According to the Brampton Library Board Vice Chair: "The Brampton Public Library is the lowest-funded large urban library system in Ontario, and I think Canada. BPL have an incredibly small footprint per person."
The CFI is badly needed and 5 years have passed with no shovels in the ground, design revisions ongoing. I can't imagine how the next 5-10 years are going to be in Bramalea with a portable Library Ski Chalet housing a dozen book shelves and a handful of tables.
thousands of International students are flooding into the area who fuel demand for these spaces, the average age here is the youngest in the GTA. There is a lot of high density, mid-low income in Bramalea core who need quiet spaces to study and will not have anything nearby. The pre-covid coffee study spaces are decimated, Williams Cafe on Queen st is the last one that exists in the city with large seating.
It's going to be horrible for youth who don't have a learning environment at home and live in precarious situations. Bring a med school, but pretty much stack the deck against anyone in the area to get a shot at entrance to it.

I would like to report that already many students are using https://papersowl.com/examples/the-nurse-and-friar-laurence-are-responsible-for-romeo-and-juliets-death/ because this seems to be the best source to make writings, I personally with the help of this managed to write a complaint on the building administration and now I am in error, because the questions were asked in such a way that they do not know what to answer and are going to stop the construction. By the way from here I managed to find out a lot about The Nurse and Friar and what they have in common, there are many interesting writings here.

It’s an okay size for a neighbourhood branch, but certainly not for a district/resource branch that Chinguacousy was. The accessibility by transit and by foot is far inferior as well.

Proposed work for renovating the old civic centre. The mention of a public clinic is promising – hopefully it will be a family health team with medical interns and residents.
150 Central Park Drive
The following renovations and upgrades are proposed for the 150 Central Park project.
- Replace the existing single pane windows to double glazed on the south wing of the building.
- Reconfiguring the window to wall ratio at the south wing of the building. Re-cladding the south wing of the building to improve energy performance.
- Replacing 8 existing drop off parking spaces with 2 lay by spaces for clinic drop off.
- Addition of new windows to the north façade to allow natural light in the space.
- Repairing damaged concrete at the north ramp and stairs.
- Repainting the existing metal enclosure at the mechanical penthouse.
- Re-cladding and re-glazing the main entrance canopy. Providing entrance canopies at the north and south entrances to provide temporary shelter.
- Regrading the main entry plaza to provide sloped walkways, improved stair access, and terraced seating, as well as improving the landscaping with various tree species.

New Community Hub shown below in Orange across from TMU has been proposed by MTSA planning staff.
They told me the Bus terminal should be staying where it is now, not moving towards Queen st.
The Community Hub and park would be on top of the existing Freshco Grocery and parking lot. IMO could make for a decent sized library replacement with other civic amenities lost to TMU.
The Library is still exploring various options I have heard directly from their Board Chair.
