I shudder to think of how many new NIMBYs this building has created in the area. If you were pro-development before, this and design haus going up in your neighbourhood are enough to never support a new tower ever again.

It's not a problem with towers, it's a problem with developments giving nothing back to the community, not throwing them a bone not event in terms of public space, or architecturally.

I really don't think nimby's give a rat's you know what about the design of a tower. They're against the height/density even if it's the best designed tower.

It's a very UT/urbanist perspective to consider a building's design. Most people simply don't know or care. In fact, I know casual observers who actually like the all glass/spandrel look because it's "shiny."
