The new lease is for a 15-year term, commencing in 2022. It brings the office component at The Well Tower to 71 per cent committed to three major tenants. Global advertising marketplace firm Index Exchange has a commitment for 200,000 square feet of space and another, as yet undisclosed tenant, has a commitment for about 125,000 additional square feet.

Spaces will be one of the largest office tenants of the upcoming The Well redevelopment in the King West Village district of downtown Toronto
The Amsterdam-based co-working office company announced this week that it will be taking over 127,158-sq-ft of office space in the mixed-use complex at 410 Front Street West.

At this rate, I wonder if Allied will move ahead with Union Square sooner than later?

Has this cycle eclipsed the office boom from the late 80s/early 90s? If not, it must be awfully close.

Now that's a big announcement I'm looking forward to, but not sure how long we have to wait on that.

The European shopping experience is finally and officially coming to Toronto! If this turns out to be executed as well as the renderings are showing, The Well will have the best shopping experience out of any existing large retail complexes/areas that we currently have in this city (and that includes both indoor and outdoor malls).

Not only that, but i'm thinking that once competitors see how successful the retail is here, there will be a push to build more of this type of retail environment.

I completely agree that the renderings look great but whether the 'shopping experience' will be any good surely depends on the stores that they have there. If it's more of the same PATH stuff ....... They are somewhat out of the way and will need some really exciting anchor tenants if the 'shopping experience' is to be great as great architecture only goes so far.
