I'd rather they skipped the innie-outtie precast and focused on a passable, firm-wide, detail library. It ain't gonna happen because the mudchute society at Marlin Spring et. all will continue to hire them regardless.

What exactly was your comment based on, then? Not saying I disagree, but I just don't understand why you'd answer that way. Even the rendering looks pretty subpar to my eyes. For one, they blatantly display all the spandrel in the upper floors. Right in their marketing/promotional material.
 
Sorry, what is wrong with this? It looks decent, actually quite good (for G+C).
It's Marlin Spring, so we're already guaranteed they'll use the worst possible materials which will make this look extremely cheap and poorly executed. They dont even try to give at least some effort with their execution.
