Toronto The One | 328.4m | 91s | Mizrahi Developments | Foster + Partners

Photos taken today, Friday (Apr. 26). Work still continues at the top, though the blue forms all seem to be at the same level they were at when I last posted a week ago - the top at level 58, the 3rd mechanical level, the corner blue forms at around level 49. Presumably slower progress due to being at the mechanical level. (Correction: BloorMan said some forms went up, indeed it looks like the NE and SE corner forms moved up a level since last week, around level 50 now.) Though if I read the plans correctly, this means the tower has just surpassed 200 metres, a milestone. Much more movement with the three Rail Climbing Systems (RCSs), all climbing up, revealing more of the notched shape of the tower. The east RCS up to level 23, the north and west RCSs up to level 22.

Starting with my usual update to my "time-lapse" album on Flickr, then views from the south, including the crane looking like a praying mantis over the tower! A shot from Balmuto to the west, showing the rising west RCS, from in front of Holt Renfrew on Bloor west of Yonge, then shots from Cumberland east of Bay showing the RCSs and 1st mechanical level, with crew. (Forgot to take the usual wide shot from there.) Finally, shots from the intersection of Yonge and Bloor, including a neat light effect - a double-reflection of the sun on the NE corner (also seen in the first shot).

Do you remember when it was 100m, approximately a year ago?

From today (Saturday), I'm not sure what they were doing but there was some sort of work being done on the crane:

Well judging by where the crane is sitting it looks like it needs to do a lift before they can continue and as this is a mechanical floor I imagine they are probably going to add multiple sections so they may need to put new collars to tie back to the building I also could be completely wrong but hey I like commenting sometimes 😂

If anyone has a Prime Video subscription and you haven't seen this.. you might get a kick out of this episode of Amazon Prime Originals:

Lux Listings Toronto - Season 1 Episode 7 “The Crown Jewel”

Sam Mizrahi gives the realtors a tour of the building (great shots of the 40 foot high retail space) and then gives them the task of finding a buyer for the penthouse at the top for $35 million.

Some great fly-throughs of the penthouse and other goodies.

^ Literally just came here to post about it. I've been skeptical of this project (mostly Mizrahi's attitude tbh) but I am very impressed by that retail space. It's unlike anything I've ever seen before. And it does scream Apple Store lol can't wait for it to be a Rexall :/

Given the sometimes bewildering, drama-filled (epic) journey this project has been on... that retail space seems perfect for another Gordon Ramsay signature restaurant. 🔪🔪🩸

Bring the Hell’s Kitchen restaurant into Canada and open up first Canada restaurant at The One in the future. That would be great and I’m fan of Hell’s Kitchen.

Looks like it'll be 4.5 months until top out if they keep up at current pace

Did anyone ever find out if it's topping out at the original height or approved height increase? After article in the Star, there was some back and fourth on here as to what height but I don't remember hearing anything after as far as confirmation one way or the other.

We still haven't heard anything about what height they are building to.

Changed my timeline after realizing I based it off the size of the building in the comparison graphics, which is much shorter than the actual plans.
