i only wish we actually had a history that "spans centuries" though... :(
based on what i could find on doors open toronto day, there is almost nothing before the 1900's...

1800's 1900's 2000's Equals a plural of centuries. It is what we have so be happy.

The hyperventilation over this one is getting a bit hysterical.

For those with their knickers in a knot about the state of progress, we did say in a recent front page story that there's equipment on its way from Europe to tackle the spacial foundation work here, and that you'll be seeing and hearing lots more in September about this development. It's summertime, relax a little!

BTW, it was Crombie, not Sewell, who introduced the 45-foot height limit.

42
Did the special equipment from Europe they were waiting for arrive yet? I thought it was something to handle the larger columns? The ones they have done so far look normal size.

I know this has been asked a few times but I haven't see a definitive answer yet: do we know if this will be top-down construction (i.e. will we be seeing P1 being poured and work persisting below while they build up? The fact that they aren't moving the building is leading me to believe this would be the case (and the incredibly ambitious plans to have the retail open in like a year or something).
