Why is there a tendency to put members in boxes in the threads, like they're somehow semi-immobile, or venturing into some kind of restricted zone? There's no Checkpoint Charlie partway up Weston Road or anywhere else in the city. I've heard tell that one is even allowed to cross Steeles Avenue, the Etobicoke Creek, or the Rouge River without a passport (although that does seem unusually risky)!
