Today.
Hopefully somthing other than Tokyo SmokeDo we have any info on retail that will go in the base of the tower?
Probably neither the A&W or Popeyes, as they have other locations within spitting distance.Tokyo Smoke, A&W, Popeyes and Shoppers. And a bank.
In some ways, yes. In others, not so much. It seems partial to being the opportunist-trend-jumper restaurants. Sushito or Poké bowl, anyone? Lots of fly-by-night places that do exactly the same as three others down the street.I was joking, but that stretch of Yonge is actually one of the most vibrant and interesting food alleys in the city, despite having many chains. Hopefully this building can contribute to that.
It seems as though Lanterra is reducing their foliage....

...so in other words, if they installed all those plants and stuff as rendered, The City will likely come along and rip all those up to make way for the expected Yonge St do over I gather?Small solace perhaps, for a few years; but this section of Yonge will be rebuilt by the City and narrowed, with a completely new streetscape following the completion of the section south of College.
The intention is to re-do (and narrow) at least as far Davenport.
In terms of timing, late this decade.
