Just realized a few days ago that I could actually see Teahouse at its current state from my unit. Will be interesting to see the towers rise. Thankfully, the northern tower will be shorter and so unlikely to block my views of Humber Bay, although future developments may take care of that

While many of the buildings in this corridor are somewhat low-quality, to put it nicely, and I'm concerned by the loss of a fine-grained streetscape, I've embraced the Blade Runnerification of Yonge Street and am really looking forward to the transformation of this area into a dense, vertical urban space.

Concerned X10. There is good when heritage blocks can be incorporated (like One Yorkville) providing an awkward but welcoming reprieve from the usual tower on podium with copy and pasted street level retail spaces. However, half or full blocks like this (assembled long before Lanterra was a twinkle in the eye) is very concerning including the loss of smaller commercial spaces to lease that aren't retail.

Ugh, You miss this?o_O

For as long as I can remember this has been my most disliked block on Yonge St.
