I recall someone saying that cladding will begin to go on above the parking levels. So I'd guess that we'll have to wait until around the 13th or 14th floor has been poured.

So 8 is done and they're starting on 9. That's the only thing that I dislike about those climbing panels, that it's hard to keep track of floors at times

seems like work on this floor is taking a bit longer - guess it's the lobby?

once they get to the standard hotel room floors, the pace should pick up again....

Yeah, I was expecting it to shoot up like weeds on fertilizer. But instead it's like a 70-year-old not on viagra. Not like I know what that's like.

I am sure it is the economy that is slowing it down. If it was a sellers market I am sure they would be rushing it. And why pay overtime to get it finished in such a slow market.

I doubt the economy has anything to do with it. If its the lobby floor it will take some time to complete. Once this level is done it will take off quickly.

Or maybe it's just a complex structure requiring more than the usual in concrete and steel (not to forget that this is the densest tower site in the country with a floor area ratio greater than most cities' tallest)

that may have prevented this or other projects from getting started, but as it stands this building has a high percentage of units presold. The developer cant get paid for any of those sales until the building is completed so at this point it is very much in their interest to complete it as quickly as possible. As the others have eluded to they are likely working on the lobby floor which will be an irregular design and so it takes longer. Once past this floor things will speed up noticeably.

Regarding floor count, my count has them at the framing stage for level 8 being the hotel back of house. The floor for the level 7 mezzanine has been fully poured. There are two level 7s in the render/stacking plan that I am examining, the first being the last level of the valet parking. As such, I think they are now working on the framing for the "real" 9th floor, if you count the ground floor as the 1st floor.
