So we get red elevators and not red vents? How is the reason for not making those vents red any different here? /sigh
The original plan was to have the vents on the east side and I think it is POSSIBLE that someone thought (if anyone thought) that having two red 'things' close to each other would be overkill. So they decided to keep the vents in their original grey. Then they moved the (now grey) vents to the west side. Of course, this is predicated on there being any rationale to all this!So we get red elevators and not red vents? How is the reason for not making those vents red any different here? /sigh

Was your inquiry just to ask about the opening date? I'm curious how they are going to deal with the traffic issues. We already see daily how congested Jarvis is along that stretch, including with the box blocking. I imagine dozens/hundreds of cars turning in and out of that garage will only add more chaos.I wrote to, and had a response from, Toronto Parking Authority. Not much more info but... "Thank you for your inquiry regarding the St Lawrence Market North parking garage. This is a city-led project and we are expecting to open the facility in early 2025."
The TPA are not responsible for the access/egress so I only asked them about the opening. The (very real) problem with adding an exit/entrance on Jarvis was raised when the project was conceived and there were two viable choices. Exiting to KING via the north end of Market Lane Park or onto Jarvis - exiting onto Front was, we were told, impossible due to a sewer there - the reason for NOT linking the North and South Market building under Front. The TTC had problems with the exit/entrance onto King as it would block streetcars so Jarvis was the only alternative if there was to be ANY parking. As the addition of parking made the project financially viable they went for it but it will be 'interesting' to see how it works - I am betting on "not well" but we shall see.Was your inquiry just to ask about the opening date?
