Was the design updated again to remove the eyebrow? There isn't much there on the steel to suggest any additional material to come.

Not as far as I know. In fact you can see the drill holes for the struts that will be extending outward in @gryphonrp 's pic:

I doubt that many would say that either of the last two "north Markets' were iconic. Maybe one of the early ones with the open courtyard but .....

The 1851 market would have been a great retrofit if we had kept it:

The 1904 replacement is basically like the south market - so it would have been great kept as is as well.
