Lot more up on my site for the month of May and today

The smaller tower will loose its crane this month and will be follow by 2 more elsewhere with no new ones going up.

Looks like the short tower waiting mechanical equipment, otherwise the tower ready to come down. The last tower will be gone late Sept or Oct leaving no towers in the skyline for the area and part of 8 to be gone by year end for Mississauga for projects I follow. 20 cranes will be gone from the GTA by year end and more likely more on the ones I haven't seen for months.

Whether MCC ends up. being successful rests not on the amount of density they put in, but the eventual pedestrianization and urbanization of the whole area. As of now, it's a series of highways/stroads with sidewalks no one wants to spend any time on. There are towns of 5,000 people with more vibrant streets than this.

Yeah

Well what you are saying isn’t true. There’s plenty of new people walking on the sidewalks of confederation between burnamthorpe and rathburn. Same with living arts drive between the same two streets. That’s two more or less streets that are vibrant and I don’t think you can honestly label living arts drive as a strode.

I see MCC as an evolving area. Yes it has its fair share of arterials but recent developments are much improved. When I was there in May there were patios on Confederation! And the Oxford project will only reinforce this.

On a wider note I am very encouraged by the diversity of uses MCC is attracting. Boutique hotel, very high-end restaurants and a great slate of popular festivals at Celebration Square.
