I first remember seeing that at The King West by Plaza in Liberty Village. They're doing it now at Backyard Neighbourhood Condos in Etobicoke. While it is fake, what you get is a precast panel that is unlikely to require the level of maintenance that brick and mortar would, and it's supposed to have a slightly higher R value too.
