I've seen a lot of great photos of the skyline from the south, but the views from Cityplace are quite nice as well. I think the traintracks add a nice touch!

That's the Redpath Sugar Refinery and it's not going anywhere. It brings good industrial jobs downtown and uses ships to bring in most of its raw material so being on the lake is sort of important.

OK, let's put it this way: if an important, iconic and popular cultural facility were located there, would anyone be clamoring to have it replaced by a sugar factory?
