Yep, broken record at this point, but this looks amazing. I love matte finishes; but regardless, this is so tasteful.

This makes enduring all the duds that come along bearable; knowing that every once in a while something beautiful will rise. Architecture and design can lift ones spirits and this one certainly does.

I was pleasantly surprised when I noticed that the podium cladding will eventually wrap around the South side.

While I'm still not crazy about how there wasn't enough upfront research done when the initial glass cladding was announced (the old "bait and switch"), this bold skin is a solid compromise and great addition to the area.

I wish the glass guards on the tower were part of the curtainwall system so they aligned with everything neatly. I am almost certain this was the original intention but it's not often that we see guardrails that are part of a curtainwall system. The guard rail around the terrace of the Thompson Hotel is the extension of the curtainwall past the roof level - it is a much nicer effect but of course represents an extra expense.

I could’ve done without those 4 floors tacked onto the podium. The angled balconies especially have no relation to the rest of the building either

Yea, i've always disliked the angled balconies. But overall a good looking building.

I think it adds a bit of variety. If we go straight to the tower portion, that may be a bit harsh of a transition for the area.

That upper portion though, I enjoy the levels alternating balconies and solid glass walls.
