Toronto Scotiabank Arena Renovations | ?m | ?s | MLSE | BBB

...it's not like they had 57 years of projecting for that in the precedent. Just saying. 😼

We've got a front page story up now too, where we asked them about PATH improvements...

…and it seems that they're still finding it difficult to make a magnanimous gesture towards PATH users.

Meanwhile, we have now added a database file, linked at the top of this page, where you'll find the entire set of 16 renderings that go with the Reimagination project. Here's one of the main concourse:

Great you flagged the pathetic state of the PATH through SBA, they REALLY should be shamed into improving it!

From Front page piece:

"UrbanToronto seized the opportunity to inquire with Eaves about the ongoing challenges and plans for the PATH network that runs through Scotiabank Arena. The network, a crucial artery for pedestrian flow in Downtown Toronto, runs through the arena. There are notable concerns with accessibility and aesthetics of the southern PATH link, with steep stairs not compliant with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

Eaves acknowledged the need for improvements. "The PATH network was patched together, including the section that goes along this arena," he explained. "There is an opportunity to go and look at the sections of the PATH that surround our arena and figure out if we can improve accessibility, and uplift those spaces. It’s an opportunity, but not something we’ve advanced quite yet.”"

That PATH link is a shit show for anyone with disabilities, or the many hotel and condo residents with suitcases. It screams the obvious need for renovation to everyone... except MLSE it seems...
100% agree. I just wrote

You could too!

Is there not some sort of blueprints/plans available online for this project? Aside from the few renderings.

Wouldn't there be a development proposal made to the city of Toronto?

I just want to know more about the renovation.

It's just a renovation so it doesn't need a site plan application so no public plans, unfortunately.

Looks totally tacky. Just another case of renovating for no other reason other then to boost prices.
