Re: Ritz-Carlton (UT) - UPDATE

Thanks for the sacrifice. Im thinking this will be the best of the new biggies to go up in terms of both skyline impact and design.

Re: Ritz-Carlton (UT) - UPDATE

Someone get that man some gloves! He has more pictures to take!

Thanks for freezing your hands kpad. It's appreciated.

Re: Ritz-Carlton (UT) - UPDATE

Thanks for the pic... I cant wait to see the cranes rise for both the Ritz and RBC!

Re: Ritz-Carlton (UT) - UPDATE

Here are some pictures from Friday & Saturday.
From the looks of it they are already about 10 feet down in some areas. After only 2 weeks of excavating this is moving extremely quickly.

Sorry for the poor contrast/quality. Shooting into the sun sucks.

Re: Ritz-Carlton (UT) - UPDATE

circuitboy, you keep posting those nice panos and you will be making a lot of people happy here! Thanks.

Re: Ritz-Carlton (UT) - UPDATE

So, are Ritz and RBC going to be two completely separate excavations, or are they going to dig one contiguous hole (once RBC excavates the west side of the site), and built up from the bottom?

Re: Ritz-Carlton (UT) - UPDATE

One. I'm pretty sure they are sharing things like parking underground.

Re: Ritz-Carlton (UT) - UPDATE

The east side edge of the current excavation is being left as
a sloping grade presumably to be removed with the rest
of the RBC site when the loading docks are operational.

Re: Ritz-Carlton (UT) - UPDATE

Rebar above ground now on the RBC side.

Re: Ritz-Carlton (UT) - UPDATE

Last week: diggin' out the pitz:

Re: Ritz-Carlton (UT) - UPDATE

Wow that is one big hole. Im still thinking that this will be the best tall project to go up so far in the most recent boom.

Re: Ritz-Carlton (UT) - UPDATE

and thanks for the update SNF.
