Random scenes

This first set consists of photos taken throughout the year. Most of these are new to the forum though a few have been posted before.

Front street and surroundings

Last weekend I went downtown to take pics and ended up mostly on the east side of Front street which is part of the St. Lawrence neighbourhood. I toured bits of the CBD as well. I haven't been to the core in a while since I work near College and Spadina but it was great to explore the area. We really do have a beautiful CBD.

There is no particular order to these...

This is further east in Corktown

The suits may own the CBD during the weekdays but these guys take it over on the weekends.

This guy in particular was amazing... he could make that bike do almost anything.

Cabbagetown

These pics are just a taste of Cabbage(town) and even that is saying a bit much. It's a huge neighbourhood that definitely deserves it's own thread but for now this is what I got.

Is it a donut shop that's moving in to the Winchester?

Fantastic tour! Those are some of my favourite hoods in TO. Perhaps you could do Cabbagetown again in the fall... it's absolutely gorgeous then.

Excellent photo tour. Cabbagetown is one of those parts of Toronto that when The City and developers are trying to figure out how to accomodate more people and create new developments should be looked at very closely. The scale and diversity of this area is what needs to be strived for more often in city building.
