Draper Street turning into something like Shinjuku Golden Gai would be pretty cool
Draper Street as a bar street would look closer to Crescent Street in Montreal than Golden Gai in Shinjuku (also good though). To get the latter, we'd need to convince a neighbourhood to convert their back laneway or get a new development to purpose build one. Or maybe we could convince some of the half-vacant office towers downtown to do something with their side alleys at night to recoup some costs? Heck, maybe the weird basement mall at Aura could be so repurposed!
 
June 24: Construction activities along the Front and Portland street levels of Portland Commons are continuing. Also visible in the photos below are a number of shipping frames with building facade components - hopefully this is the shipment of the outstanding items from the original supplier in Spain to replace the sections which were either missing or broken during the construction process.
