No doubt this won't be received well here, but from a design perspective, as much as I try, none of the towers in this development strike me as particularly inspiring. Sure 'Sky Tower' is a supertall, but should that ever be our threshold for granting banality a free pass? If this were built to only half or even two-thirds its final height, I wonder how many would be singing its praises? By contrast, if that same argument were applied to 'The One'' or 'Forma', they'd be shorter, yes, but they'd still be visually interesting buildings, IMO. Isn't it about time we got beyond our adolescent height fetish and come to realize that it's not how tall a city's skyline is that matters, but rather the overall design quality of its buildings?

We've been bitching about Pinnacle's buildings here for 20 years. This one hurts a bit more because of its extraordinary height.

What's going on with the central units on the east elevation? The V-shape at the very centre is meant to be balconies for the Residence 12 units (flanked by the small balconies for Residence 11 and 1 units). But it appears that the V is being built out to the edge of the concrete: in other words, there's no balcony. Compare the eastern elevation with the western elevation.

It's just a shallower and oddly shaped balcony on that side because the unit protrudes out into it.
The V-shape of the balcony edge is maintained to match the other side of the tower for overall building appearance.

Curious to how they're going to transition that angled white cladding. Seems a tad abrupt.
