Is this the podium for tower 1&3 or Just 1? There doesn't seem to be a lot more space to build another podium for tower 3 or phase 3
 
Does anyone know the reason as to why the loud drilling truck has to start at 7:15am each day? They're usually there for 6-7 hours as they stop shortly after lunch. Why wouldn't they push the start time to 9 or 10am? It's not even the drilling that's the loud part, it's when they shake the soil off the drill bit.

Because regular construction hours are 7-3pm?

That is a shoring rig. It has a big auger (screw) on the bottom that digs a hole for foundation piles or caissons to go into. You're right, the noisy part is when it shakes back and forth to get the dirt off. This was a frequent complaint about Crosslinx on the Crosstown project and they mitigated by requiring the auger to be cleaned off by hand or with tools rather than "shakey shake" method. But, they're allowed to do it. You could always try contacting them to ask them to find a way of getting the dirt off the shoring rig auger more quietly -- who knows, maybe they will comply and have sympathy given how many people are working from home. But such a method is slower and takes an extra labourer so you may not have luck.

I think they are shoring for Tower 1 as seen in this site plan from July 3, 2019 issued for SPA set by HPA for Phases 2 & 3:

As you can see in this snapshot from the SPA plans below grade, the holes they are drilling go around the perimeter of the site. Maybe someone who understands could explain how they drill overlapping circles like this?

As you can see there is a lot to be done. It will be going for a while.

Thanks, this is the type of response I was actually looking for. The first hole they dug was much bigger than what it looks like they're starting now with this drilling. It seems like it might not take as long as the first one?

I'm also curious as to how they do the overlapping holes. I can see right now that the holes are at least a meter apart.

It's nice to see another building surpassed the BMO Tower on Toronto's diagram Illustrated page on skyscraperpage in construction mode! Now that they started the Shoring process as you can see in the photos up above.
