My apologies, I see what you mean now. It seems like they've turned down the saturation of a fair amount of the details. Hopefully they'll end up going with the original colours when all is said and done.

It's too bad. The colour made the spaces seem warmer and more pleasant, which are unusual and positive qualities for an institutional building.

I don't know if I'd call it cold and bleak. To me it has a very fresh and clean feel complimented by a lot of natural light.
