I finally got a good chance to take a leisurely walk around T3 (before security) today since they finished their renovations. (I've certainly flown out of it a few times since Covid, but all I want to do then is get through security.
I hadn't realized they were ripping ALL the shopping out of the terminal! It's really quite pathetic now - and the food choices are very meagre, with virtually no seating.
Perhaps the best food surprise though, is that there's a Smokes Poutinerie truck on the very east end of the lower (arrivals) level. How they got it in there I don't know.
I also noticed that near to Smokes just to the north, is a pair of escalators leading down to the basement(?), and a passageway that would head back under T3 heading south. There was zero signage, but also no restrictions. I should have gone down for a look - as it doesn't appear on the detailed airport maps. Does anyone know what it is?
