Toronto Parkside Square | 142.94m | 43s | Tribute | Turner Fleischer

Mods, this site is officially call "Parkside Square", as it paster all over the hording and on the construction office as of today.

With the first tower being rental, I am expecting the other 2 to be as well, since this a Tribute project.

If one read the hording correctly, the retail is posted as future and should be phase 4.

Shoring taking place on the north side of Phase 1 with stake layout going east and around the whole site.

My take on the hole being dug in the middle has to do with some utilities that has to be install before the main work is to take place. This comes from someone on site with broken English. My first thought they were looking for something that has to be remove or relocated.

I found these Phase 1 renderings on the Dev App site:

Drove by the site today and these guys are working fairly quickly. Two drills, two diggers and a mobile crane on site. excavation for overall site is at around -1 storey. It's a large site so excavation is being done at an slopped angle along the southern edge while shoring catches up.

Probably trying to beat the frost.

It can be easier to dig when it's cold than when it's not. Rain messes up a dig when you're going through soil; snow does not. A little frost is no match for the shovels and drill rigs!

The choice of color and the style make it really bad.

No. While it got zoning approval a few years ago, there's no decision on the OMB website… and taking it out of the City's hands at that level has possibly caused an odd paucity of architectural details to appear in the docs on the City's page.

Given the new rent control laws, i wonder if they will convert some of the apartments to condos.
