First major submission for the Palermo Village community by ARGO, in the northwest corner of Dundas and Bronte, stretching up to the 407 in Oakville. The plan is for Palermo (the Bronte and Dundas area) to be an urban core like the one at Trafalgar and Dundas.
"Proposed development of subject lands with a range and mix of residential, institutional, commercial, employment and open space uses. The proposed development includes three mixed use condominium blocks, four high density residential condominium blocks, four medium density residential condominium blocks, twenty-eight single detached dwellings, a transit terminal block, a 2.25 hectare neighbourhood park, part of a village square, part of a stormwater management pond, a walkway block, a block for the 407 Transitway, open space blocks, Natural Heritage System blocks and public roads."
The plan also includes extensions of William Halton Parkway and the 407 Transitway, which will eventually connect to Tremaine and possibly beyond into Burlington. The overall plan for Palermo also includes 6500 living units, multiple schools, 2 transit hubs, a large community centre, and over 20 acres of parks.

ARGO is very serious about this project and it's generally supported by the town, region, and province as a strategic growth centre. This whole development has a "Vancouverism meets suburban Ontario" vibe.
As far as transit, the new village will have a major bus hub as well as direct connection to the 407 Transitway, a grade-separated busway which is in the final stages of approval and is planned to eventually connect with the Mississauga Transitway. It is also, similar to the Mississauga Transitway, is designed in a way that would in theory allow it to be turned into a rail corridor in the future.
The Metrolinx Dundas BRT is also in the late planning stages, which hopes to create a 48 kilometre, uninterrupted at-grade BRT corridor from Kipling Station to Highway 6 in Waterdown. The idea of LRTs on Trafalgar and Bronte to connect to their respective GO stations also keeps floating around but as of now has not officially been put into motion.
