I wonder if there is a plan to close Front Street at some point during construction or will they tunnel under it for the station?

The station is all north of Front.

Thanks, you are right the station box extends south of Front but not, I think, the (temporarily) open to the sky part of the station excavation.

They seem to be fully excavating down in that south section but only time will tell if they go all the way down. I'll grab a close up next time I'm passing by.

IIRC the TBMs are being launched from the south side right?

There’s a lot going on here, crews will be taking full advantage of the two massive sites.

There will be a TBM heading north (then east) to Queen/Victoria and a mined tunnel heading south (and west). Spoils from both are presumably returning here.

oh theres no tbm going south? thats curious

the tunnel south of here is less than 1km long so it makes sense they aren't really using a TBM for it.

theyre building a portal at the don yard. thats where it goes above ground

If there's no TBMing south of Front, how are they getting to the portal? Doesn't seem like an area that can be done cut and cover.
