Probably should be in the real estate section, but I think WPC area will become a King and Jameson-style rental community within 20 years--it's too isolated from anywhere to be anything else.

or it could ALSO be an pre-dominantly owner occupied buildings to exclude those who can not afford vehicle ownership (I'm not referring to those who CHOOSE not to own a car)

I don't think you can go too wrong this close to the downtown core. Technically, this is still downtown and the lake views add to the appeal.

On the other hand, some of these projects dispersed throughout the inner suburbs will likely end up as dead investments. Solaris would be on top of the list if it wasn't for Tridel. Although Tridel may not be enough especially if the other phases take a whole lot of time to complete.

I definitely agree that Solaris is intended to be a car oriented development ... but I take no issue with that ~ I would take that over the transit friendly Scarborough Town Centre area without a doubt ... that has proven to be mostly investor-rental oriented units ~ no thank you

now ... back to Neptune ! great lake views, nice curved curtain walls, etc ...

Passed there today and noticed that the crane is up for the 2nd phase.

Okay, let me get this straight, as this neighbourhood never fails to screw me up. This is Neptune Phase 2, with Phase 1 in the background? If so, how come it isn't 15s as indicated in the thread title?

The 15 storey building under construction is Neptune phase 1. Phase 2 will be directly to the north, where the crane is on the right side of the above photo. In the background is Waterparkcity.
