I'm sure everyone here has heard of the potential Google development in the East Bay waterfront area. I for one, am quite excited about this. Hopefully this would expedite city's plan on the transit in the area. Self-driving buses potentially right in front of Monde? why not~

I do hope it all ties together in the end but at present the tower and podium are two disparate elements that jar too much*. If only the vertical shared more of the juggernaut presence of the base. Though the flat affect of the "stone" facade could use more texture and rhythm too (is it better in real life?). I'm left wondering...

* - This is coming from a person who loves juxtaposition.
