I wouldn't say that glass condos are done, but rather I would say that there is now more than glass that architects can play with.

It still is a slaughterhouse. About 600 pigs a day, I hear.

The building and facade along Bathurst could not look less like a continuous building and "massive wall". You are asking for a "way to break that up a little"? The whole facade is broken up!

I was asked for my opinion, and gave it. As for yours, these changes came by way of some intense pressure from the local community - people for whom you have expressed little appreciation or respect - as well as the city councillor and city planning personnel. We aren't lucky, we made our luck. Otherwise we would have been stuck with the previous shlock that you fanboyed over.
 
I think the proposal still needs some more work. There needs to be something creative to break up the Bathurst street wall a bit more and on the south facade, I am not a fan of the flat wall approach. The articulation that looks great on the Bathurst side should also turn the corner and be on the Front street elevation. Being on the south side, the shadow effects would be interesting to the eye.
 
Viewing architectural design as 'fashion' is unbelievably superficial, which is to be expected from the hicks out there who drool over renderporn and design magazines... that's like so 2002!
 
The design for this is really really sharp, but it now offers even less architectural differentiation. Along Front Street, where are the distinct facades? I thought it would be cool to continue the Front Street streetwall with a European-style variation in facade expressions, but instead it just looks like Reve is being pushed aside and bullied by this project.

Yikes. Either way...unfortunate. Someone I know has been documenting some of what goes on there, including pigs turned yellow and red from dehydration during transport on that scorching day last July, and some frozen and 'freezer-burnt' on some of the colder days of this winter during transport.
