Originally applying for 10-storeys, the OLT has approved zoning for 8-storeys at Metropolitan Square, a proposed market-rate & affordable rental apartment building designed by Kojo La-Anyane Architect for Coland Developments on the northeast corner of the Industrial Parkway North and Wellington Street East in Aurora's Bayview Wellington area.

I had a co-op job not far from here last year. For a major transit area in a town with lots of real estate pressure, it feels rather bleak right now. The kind of services that currently take up this spot would be more appropriate in the industrial area near the 404 than right next to the high school. I'm hoping that 136 Wellington St E or the one-storey commercial buildings on the south side of Wellington are not far behind this.
