I may have been dozing off but I noticed last week that the part of this project on Victoria immediately south of the Massey Hall is 'topped off' at grade and is being used for servicing the Yonge Street side. Do they intend to get Yonge up to Floor X before starting to work on Victoria?

The Massey Hall addition will not begin until Massey Tower is complete (subject of course to Massey Hall being successful in their fundraising campaign).

Nice this building has almost topped off.... the parking garage. Thanks for the pics!

I suspect it will be quite some time yet but I look forward to the restoration of the heritage entrance of this one!

Definitely one of the most challenging, inspiring and important projects underway in Toronto. A great deal is riding on the success of all its components: restored heritage, sleek, landmark luxury tower and a rebuilt world famous concert hall, all fitting together in one of the tightest, densest most visible sites in the country. If fully realized it'll be one of the great civic/private developments of this still newish century, a source of local pride and a great example of what visionary city building can achieve. (note: though certain local planners will not agree).

The panels of the circular mosaic floor have been returned to Massey Tower to be installed in the new rotunda lobby at a later date. The timing was based on the current openness of the ground floor, a condition which will soon change as the lower levels start to get closed in and the hoist installed.
