I recall reading that the parking lot between this building and St. Lawrence Market will be turned into a park; it's also shown in their renderings. Anybody know when that's going to happen? Along with the renovated Market Street, the new park will make the area behind the Market feel much more complete and bookend Crombie Park nicely. Although I think a traditional urban square with a central fountain would be even better at that location.

IIRC it will be used as a temporary market location while the St. Lawrence market North building is constructed, then will be turned into a park. Still a whiles off yet.

Yeah the pedestrian walkway that's supposed to go through the building. The ceiling was supposed to look like water I think, according to the renders earlier in the thread.

So far, I am not impressed with the "art" in the parking area/walkway. Unless there is going to be light behind these panels, the effect is quite muted and almost invisible and a waste of time. Does anyone know if there is intent to have these panels backlit somehow?

That should look pretty interesting with interesting light effects at night.
