Yes, in the 'good old days' if you clicked on the calendar you could link to all the documents for the meeting. Now, as some are not AODA compliant, they do not load most documents on their website and you need to ask for them. They send them quite fast but it's a stupid system and I REALLY doubt it is what AODA is meant to achieve!
It does do what AODA is meant to achieve, which is that material posted on a publicly accessible internet page meets accessibility standards. What we need is a "transparency act" that sets out that this type of material has to be made publicly available on a website (rather than on request), Then AODA would kick in and require them to make it accessible when they post it.
From many talks with WT staff, they are well aware what AODA requires - basically, as you say, that items posted on websites must meet accessibility standards. The problem is that they have been FAR too slow ensuring their documents meet this bar and if they don't (no matter how important) they are not posted and must be requested. (Not always easy to do as you need to know what to ask for.) WT should have started working on meeting the AIDA requirements several years ago and now need to allocate $$ to dealing with the HUGE backlog of documents that they agree OUGHT to be posted (and used to be posted).
Then I am not sure your suggestions of those names are entirely sincere. But that may not be important...
Probably to encourage people not to taxi/Uber or drive there? Doesn't Cherry Street get essentially completely clogged up if there's an event at Cabana/Rebel?

It’s a great location as there are several businesses down there as well as employees.
Not a great example, there are racks at a distance of ~70m (Lower Jarvis), ~130m (St Lawrence Hall), ~150m (Lower Jarvis Green P), ~170m (Church / Esplanade) and ~200m (Frederick / Esplanade). Having to go to an alternate rack is only a few minutes of hassle.
