Pouring continued this morn, and there were many workers on-site. Formwork on the southwest corner is all of a sudden nearly halfway to its final height.

With all the changes planned on the horizon along Dupont, I'd imagine that the New Canadians Lumber place may be redeveloped in the future.

Apparently numerous developers have been rebuffed by the owner of New Canadians. I gather RioCan has been particularly persistent.

It's also not the easiest lot. New Canadians is one of three owners along this stretch. The NCL plot looks like this:

But then there's also Gentry Lane Automotive and Dupont Auto Collision to deal with. Even with the sheer size of NCL, you wouldn't be able to do anything without the other two.

What's more, the east lot is a relatively new expansion from them. They bought the houses that used to be there in 2007-2008 and tore them down to increase their footprint:
