Toronto JAC Condos | 108.5m | 34s | Graywood | Turner Fleischer

Graywood just entered a joint venture with Phantom Developments to lead a new development at 314 Jarvis St. in Toronto.

Graywood acquired a 50 per cent interest in the site (currently occupied by a heritage home across from Allen Gardens) from Toronto-based Phantom, and it’s so new no name or branding have yet been established for the project.

Price anticipates building a condo with approximately 34 storeys and 450 units. He expects sales to start in the first half of next year.

Smoke, sparks and some flame seen and lots of fire trucks from my POV. Whenever I walk by I see it's a cinch to get in there, I fear this has been hit, and it's gone. 12:50am. Edit: this is looking south on Jarvis behind the Parkside Student Residence, formally, The Primrose Hotel.

Confirmed, the first fire in 2016 didn't finish off the 1865 mansion, the fire overnight did.

so that is what all the alarms last night were, kept me up for a while. They had taken down some of the boards so it looked easier to get into. Too bad

Hundreds evacuated after 2-alarm blaze in heritage home near Jarvis and Carlton

Fire crews were called to home on Jarvis street just before midnight Sunday

CBC News · Posted: Sep 02, 2019 6:53 AM ET

There have been multiple fires at this heritage home, built in 1865, in the past few years. One three-alarm blaze in 2016 gutted the building and Shaw said another broke out a month and half ago, causing damage to the building's floors.

The fire is out but crews will remain on scene throughout the day Monday to take care of any hot spots or flare-ups.

Shaw said the cause of the fire is still unknown but the incident will more than likely be treated as suspicious.

The City of Toronto engineering and construction services have been called to determine the next steps for the heritage building.

Two fire trucks, two police cars and a fire marshal still on site. One hose still staying the building. Terrible what happened <snip>.

It's still standing. Make the developer restore the facade at least. If they can't find the cause/culprit, there is no way they can allow the developer to "benefit".

I dont understand why the parking entrance is on Jarvis, there is literally a laneway between it and the student residence!!!!

Also is it just me or does it not fill the whole site. It seems like there is an empty gap between it and the hotel.
