Toronto Islington Terrace | 145.08m | 45s | Tridel | Kirkor Architects

The area in that view will border ground level retail and have space for an outdoor patio in front of a café, etc. The hoarding, we can assume, will only extend as far as the area needed for the presentation centre for the time being.

Islington Terrace (Tridel, 45s + 38s + 35s, ?)

Found this on Tridel's website. More "exciting" architecture coming to Islington.

"Tower 1 will rise up 45 storeys, Tower 2 - 35 storeys and Tower 3 - 38 storeys."

I immediately thought of those, but I guess it isn't a fair comparison at all.

Huge surface parking lots near subway stations are from a past age. Some of the parking lots will be around longer than others, but people using them now should start thinking about getting on the bus, walking, or cycling.

I hope whoever plans on buying there LOVES the sounds of trains.......I live in the area and the engine sounds can be deafening at times!

These buildings look almost identical to the triplets at 404 and Sheppard. The added density is welcome but not impressed with how these look at all.

Of course this is mundane, boring architecture. But, considering the use, scale, and location, what more can you really expect. I agree that the quality of architecture in Toronto could be much better. Even so, the fact is, the majority of buildings are going to be unremarkable but functional. Show me the city in the world where everything built is an architectural masterpiece.
