Does anyone have an image of what the clock tower originally looked like. I'm glad it's being kept but some of those design elements on the upper section look like a tacky DIY job.

The plans of the original firehouse are available in the heritage report - they give a very good idea what the tower is like.

From this morning - some of the missing brickwork has been temporarily (?) repaired:

Tacky? I don't understand. In disrepair, yes but tacky is not a description I'd use. Maybe if it was a new structure mimicking this style.

That white wooden 'fence' two-thirds the way up with the 'X' pattern is definitely tacky.... as is the roofing tile used.
