Took a trip for the north end to have a look at the corridor as well doing a walking trip from Derry to Steeles to have a look at the 407 overpass as well work in Brampton.
From my point of view, there been no changes in months or even work in Brampton and will let the Brampton folks speak to that.
A lot of track has been removed in various places, but not trackwork has taken place since June, let alone been pour for anchoring in place. A couple overhead support poles have been removed with new centre curds being rebuilt for the pole area.
Can't recall if I looked at the northbound lane from Topflight to Derry, but between Topflight and the crossover, sections of the road in many places has been saw cut for removal about 5m on either side of electric boxes in the trench between the road curb and the track. Looking at a few shots I took on my last trip, shows no saw cutting.
All platforms from Eglinton to Courtney Park have shelter posts on them.
The 407 overpass is still missing girders as they are rebuilding the centre pier with new bearing plats been added to it. The 3 new columns under the centre pier are in place to support the guideway. More grading and backfilling for the 407 westbound on ramp has seen more work on it.
Did not see any equipment in Brampton for any work that still has to be done. It looks like everyone left the site and haven't done any work months, considering there is fresh yellow markings in the curb lane in places for the gas line location. Noticed on a transit pole for southbound at Ray Lawson, it states the Stop was out of service from December 11 to the 20nd, but has no year on it. It could be a 2022 or 2023 notice. I believe that stop been there all this year, if not longer.
Decided to take a look at the New Mississauga Hospital site by getting off at the Queensway and this allow me to see some of the south end.
There was a sign going northbound saying a 403 ramp was to be close, but could not see when or what ramp. It could be for the westbound 403 to allow the placement of of the girders for the LRT bridge this coming week.
The northbound lanes closed for the 403 overpass are ready to open as well over Rathburn when they clean up the section north off the westbound off ramp. Once done, the rest of the guideway for the centre section from Kingsbridge to the ramp can be built.
Most of the curbs from Square One Intersection to the station has been poured and the missing section could be done by next weekend. Taking a guess they will then pour the base.
Central Pkwy station plastic has been removed and top coat stills needs to be pour for it.
They have dug up the south side for Fairview to build the new southbound cub and lane. Noticed they have slope the west retaining down compared to what I saw the last time and not sure if more will be done since the area is now excavated.
Duct banks going in the south-east corner at Dundas with bus stop now on the west side. They are paving the area by the RBC bank and looks like they are planning on more ductwork to King St as the sidewalk is now in the curb lane. This means there is only a single lane of traffic southbound from Dundas to King and except a few head on collision will take place by drivers making a left turn off Dundas where they think the northbound left turn lane is their lane as one almost took place as I went to get my bus..
Northbound lanes still closed from Dundas to the Queensway and nothing stopping for those lanes other than the Dundas corners.
They have open up the new southbound curb lane from the Queensway to either the North Service Rd or before as I couldn't see that far. Doing so, it has allow northbound traffic to be shifted to the centre lanes so they can start work on the northbound lane and curb. Once done, the the guideway can be built.
The restraining wall at John St is finished and strip, but still working on the one for the Beer Store as well for the substation area.
